PrincipalCANDACE M. KLING has been in the field of lighting for over 40 years. Ms. Kling started in New York in theatrical lighting working for Ms. Jean Rosenthal. She worked for Ms. Rosenthal for approximately six years, during which time she worked on many Broadway productions. Ms. Kling then transfered to architectural lighting and worked for Brandston Partnership Inc. and later Jules Horton Design. While and Jules Horton Design she became an Associate of the firm.Ms. Kling then transfered to Washington, D.C. to become the in-house lighting designer for the Marriott Corporation. During the nine years she spent at Marriott she was responsible for lighting over 70 hotels, office building, and private residences worldwide. She also established the corporate lighting prototypes and lighting criteria for the Hotel Division. Ms. Kling is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), and has served as the Chairperson of the Progress Report Committee and the Hospitality Committee. She is also a past Board Member of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD). Ms. Kling is a guest lecturer to many professional organizations as well as universities and colleges. |
