Lighting Designer
Kevin joined C.M. Kling & Associates, Inc. in 2008 after five years of study in Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Lighting and Electrical Systems at The Pennsylvania State University. His primary interests lie in the technical aspects of light as a physical phenomenon and its relationship to human perception and experience.
Mr. Danna’s experience and skill with computer based photometric calculations and with software in general has been a great asset to our firm, in the ever-expanding digital world of business. He has been involved on a diverse array of projects with C.M. Kling, playing a vital role in the preparation and delivery of the design package. Kevin worked closely with Ms. Kling on the lighting design for Oakland Hall at the University of Maryland College Park Campus, and has played a major role in the construction administration process, seeing the project through to completion.
His comprehensive knowledge of daylighting systems and control has led to significant contributions on the Mary E. Switzer Building Modernization Project in Washington, DC, an effort to turn the federal property into a high performance green building.
He is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), International Commission on Illumination (CIE/USA), and a Design Member of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD). He is looking forward to his ongoing and further involvement with these organizations.
Kevin is also the designer, author, and webmaster for this site.
